The basic belief of a Muslim is to believe in the Oneness of Allah. After having this belief, a Muslim must have a relationship with the Almighty. How can this connection be established? How can one go near the Supreme Court of Allah? How can one become beloved of Allah? Answers to these questions are very important for a Muslim. He who wants to please the Almighty seeks answers to these questions.
The only answer to these questions is; Man should always praise and thank the Almighty. The best words for the praise of Allah Ta'ala are in the first verse of the Holy Qur'an, "الحمد لله رب العلمين" When a person praises the Almighty God, he receives blessings from his Lord Almighty. The importance of praising Allah has been described in many blessed hadiths. Let's read some of them:Hadith 1
It is narrated by Hazrat Anas Bin Malik رضی اللہ عنہ, that the beloved Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: Allah عزوجل becomes happy with this habit of (man) individual that if he eats something, he praises Allah عزوجل and if he drinks something, he praises Allah عزوجل.
(Muslim, Kitab ul zikar, page 1463, Hadees No 89)
Hadith 2
Hazrat Jabir Bin Abdullah رضی اللہ عنہ narrates, the Holy Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: the greatest of all Zikr is “لَآ اِلٰــہَ اِلَّا اللہ” and the greatest Dua is “اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ”.
(Ibn e Majah, Kitab ul Adab, Vol 4, Page 248, Hadees 3800)
Hadith 3
It is narrated by Hazrat Anas Bin Malik رضی اللہ عنہ, the Holy Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said, “when Allah عزوجل reveals some blessing on His bondsman and that bondman says “اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ”, on receiving that blessing, that praise is greater near Allah عزوجل than that blessing.” (Ibn e Majah, Kitab ul Adab, Vol 4, Page 250, Hadees 3805)
Dear brothers! We know from these blessed hadiths the greatness of the ranks of "Alhamdulillah, Lord of the worlds" that it is mentioned as the best supplication in the sayings of the beloved Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and we also know that Allah We are getting the blessings of Allah Almighty every moment, but how much are we thanking our Lord?If we try to get into the habit of saying Alhamdulillah Rabul Alameen for the blessings of Allah Ta'ala, then we will start thanking Him.
We should also keep in mind the fact that when we thank our Almighty God, we get more blessings. In other words, if we are thankful for the blessings, our blessings keep increasing as this fact is stated in the Holy Quran. Our Lord says in the Holy Quran:
“لئن شكرتم لازيدنكم”
"Translation from Kanz ul Iman: “If you give thanks, I will give you more,”From this blessed verse, it is known that if we give thanks for the blessings and give thanks, then the blessings increase. Now it is our choice. We must ask ourselves; Do we need more or less blessings from Allah? The answer to this question is clear. We all want maximum blessings from the blessed court of Allah Almighty. Its simple method has been explained above.
Praise and thanks to Allah Ta'ala also teaches us to thank people. It is very important for a healthy and good society that we thank each other for the favors we receive from others. If we have the mindset of gratitude, we will be grateful to the people as well as our Lord. With the intention of thanking Allah, start reciting this blessed verse "Alhamdulillah Rabul Alameen". You will get great blessings in this world as well as in the hereafter.
